em 2023, assim como milhares de brasileiros e argentinos, fui afetada pelas cheias do rio Uruguai.

minha casa, onde vivo e trabalho, é meu forte e me recusei a deixá-lo até o último momento. me vi ilhada e a cada dia torcia para que aqueles tivessem sido os últimos centímetros. a tensão de ver

o rio chegando enquanto seguia trabalhando nas demandas que tinha no momento foi marcante para mim e o privilégio de trabalhar com o que amo se tornou ainda mais latente. por fim, a água não entrou dessa vez e regressou ao estacionar na minha porta. porém, vi muitos perderem coisas difíceis de reconquistar. naqueles dias parecia que tudo que existia no mundo era o rio, mas o rio era apenas uma parte do mundo.

processo dessa peça que criei como forma de registrar um momento inquietante e expandir o que senti para a ilustração, que é ao mesmo tempo fonte e fruto da minha forma de expressar ao mundo as ideias.

in 2023, like thousands of Brazilians and Argentines, I was affected by the floods of the Uruguay River.

my home, where I live and work, is my fort and I refused to leave it until the last moment. I saw myself trapped and every day hoped that those had been the last centimeters. the tension of seeing the river coming as I continued working on the demands I had at the time was remarkable for me and the privilege of working with what I love became even more latent. finally, the water did not enter in my home this time and returned after a while standing at my door. however, I saw many people lose things difficult to regain. in those days it seemed that all that existed in the world was the river, but the river was only a part

of the world.

process of this piece that I created as a way to register an unsettling moment and expand what I felt for illustration, which is both source and fruit of my way of expressing to the world the ideas.
